Batman Applique!!!

First off, I need to apologize for the lack of response to all of your inquiries about my batman applique pattern. I think I was being a bit over-ambitious thinking that I could have two full-time nursing jobs, maintaining an Esty shop, and attempting to start a blog at the same time.

I won’t ramble for too long, I am here to say that the pattern is finally here! I originally searched for a pattern and found this one here http://www.louiesloops.com/2012/07/holy-free-pattern-batman.html, and adapted it to look the way I wanted it to. It’s still not perfect, but I was able to stretch and shape as I was sewing the applique to my hat. So leave a generous tail for sewing!

Ch 16.

Dc in second ch from hook, m.p., hdc 1 in next two ch, sc, m.p., sc 1 in next two ch, hdc, m.p., hdc, sc 1 in next two ch, m.p., sc, hdc 1 in next two ch, m.p., dc, sl st into same ch as dc.

Now, working on opposite side: Ch 2, dc, m.p., hdc 1 in next two sp, sc 1 in next three sp, m.p., sc 1 in next two, m.p., sc 1 in next three, hdc 1 in next two, m.p., dc, ch 2, sl st into same sp as dc.

I wrote this out pretty quickly, so let me know if you have any troubles or questions!

  1. Thank you for this but… How did you do the one you show on the hat?? I love this little one but that one looks much bigger..

    1. Hi Alicia,
This is the same pattern I used on my hat. I did stretch it quite a bit when attaching it to the hat and then fill in the gaps or holes in the stitching using the tail, but it is the same pattern. Hope that helps!
